Meet Will “Romo” Romanowski

Will was an Auburn freshman, Sigma Nu brother, scholarship student, and lifelong baseball guy who loved the Phillies, loved Auburn, and made people feel at ease wherever he was.

After his freshman year, Will tragically passed away in a car accident. His loss was deeply felt across Auburn and beyond.

In the note found after the accident, one message stood above all: keep growing, keep showing up, keep moving forward.

“Be Better Than Yesterday.”

This phrase is the standard for how we compete, give, and carry Will’s legacy into every season.

  • 4.05 GPA student, Auburn scholarship recipient, Sigma Nu member.
  • Played baseball from youth leagues through travel ball.
  • A simple Sigma Nu whiffleball game became the first Romo Cup.
  • Fraternity leaders grew it into a campus-wide tournament.
  • Today it funds the Will Romanowski Endowed Scholarship at Auburn University.
